I was lucky to find my gift early. My mother encouraged me to take professional drawing and painting classes at a very young age. Born in Paris in a house filled with music, sculpture, dancing, photography and jewelry, art came naturally. My parents moved to London in my mid teens, where I joined a theatre group and designed sets. I studied at both Parsons School of Arts in New York City and Central Saint Martins College of Arts in London. In London I first designed sets for feature films and theatre. I learned many useful different skills that developed into my foundation as a faux artist and muralist. I was taught in the old traditional ways through a master of faux in London, and then went on to work for more contemporary companies (such as www.dkt.co.uk), where I learned modern techniques and styles.
After moving to San Diego in Fall 2001, I fell in love with the city and founded The Painter Genie Inc.
It is important for me that my client enjoy the experience, whether it's for a mural or a wall finish. I involve the client as much as possible. It makes the work more unique and personal for everyone. To open someone's mind and to do new things for each project, is what I love most about my job.
The Painter Genie offers commercial and residential decorative wall finishes, plaster and metal finishes and murals, primarily concentrating on high-end renovation design sites throughout San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles counties.
